A Different Way Forward

What if feeling better is possible?

Fibromyalgia may be a chronic condition, but chronic does not have to mean hopeless. Symptoms can change, your confidence can change, and the way you live with your condition can change too.

Coaching gives us the time and space to understand what is happening in your body, identify the patterns that matter to you, and turn that understanding into practical changes that can support lower symptom burden, better function and a better quality of life.

Working Together

A journey that begins with where you are.

01

Understand Your Patterns

We look at your pain, fatigue, sleep, flares, activity, stress and the everyday factors that may be influencing how you feel.

02

Understand Your Pain

We explore pain science and nervous-system regulation so symptoms feel less mysterious and less frightening.

03

Build Your Strategy

Together, we develop practical strategies around pacing, sleep, movement, recovery, stress and daily demands that fit your actual life.

04

Practise, Adjust & Move Forward

We learn from what happens, make adjustments and build your confidence step by step — with the goal of helping you get more of your life back.

Is This For You?

When fibromyalgia is taking up too much of your life.

This coaching is for people who are tired of guessing, constantly adjusting their life around symptoms, and wondering whether feeling better is still possible.

  • You've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and still don't fully understand why you feel the way you do.
  • You've tried different approaches but still struggle with pain, fatigue, sleep or recurring flares.
  • You don't know how much activity is enough — or when you've crossed your own limit.
  • You worry about triggering another flare and have started avoiding things you enjoy.
  • You want practical, personalised support to work towards better function, more confidence and more life outside your symptoms.

This is coaching, not medical treatment. Coaching works alongside appropriate medical care and does not replace diagnosis, treatment or advice from your healthcare professionals.

Ann Joseph
Your Coach

You deserve to feel heard, understood and supported.

I am Ann Joseph, a Fibromyalgia Advisor and Coach. I bring together lived experience with professional training in pain science, chronic pain coaching, nervous-system regulation and sleep.

I know how exhausting it is to live in a body you no longer quite trust. My work is not about telling you what you are doing wrong. It is about helping you understand what may be happening, find what is useful for you, and turn that knowledge into changes you can actually live with.

My 4-Pillar Approach

We look beyond the pain itself.

Fibromyalgia is complex, so your support should be more than a list of things to try. My approach brings together the areas that can shape pain, recovery, sleep, energy and day-to-day function — and we personalise them around you.

01

Pain Science & Pain Processing

Understand how persistent pain is processed and why pain intensity does not always reflect tissue damage. The aim is to make pain feel less frightening and give you a clearer path forward.

02

Nervous System Regulation

Learn how stress, threat and sensory load can interact with symptoms, and develop practical ways to help your system feel safer, steadier and more supported.

03

Sleep Optimisation

Work on the relationship between sleep, pain and fatigue using practical sleep strategies informed by behavioural sleep science and CBT-I principles where appropriate.

04

Whole-Person & Gut–Brain Health

Explore the everyday health, lifestyle and gut–brain factors that may be relevant to your individual experience, without assuming there is one cause or one solution.

Research supports personalised education and self-management as meaningful parts of fibromyalgia care, with evidence of improvements in pain, function and quality of life, although results vary and no single approach works for everyone. Coaching helps turn those principles into practical, sustainable action alongside appropriate medical care. 2026 health-education review · 2025 self-management review

Your Experience

What are we working towards?

Less Fear, More Understanding

Understand your symptoms and the patterns around them, so every change in your body does not automatically feel like a setback.

A More Sustainable Pace

Find a middle ground between pushing through and stopping completely, so activity and recovery can become more predictable.

Better Sleep & Recovery

Build practical habits that support sleep, energy and recovery, while making room for the reality of chronic symptoms.

More of Your Life Back

The goal is not perfection. It is to reduce the hold symptoms have on your life and help you move towards greater function, confidence and quality of life.

Explore Further

Take your time. Learn first.

You don't have to decide today. Explore the science, my recovery framework and what fibromyalgia can actually feel like — then decide whether coaching feels right for you.

Take The Next Step

Imagine having more of your life back.

The aim of coaching is not to promise a perfect, symptom-free life. It is to help you understand your body, reduce the impact symptoms have on you, and work towards more confidence, more function and more freedom in everyday life.
